BERNARD COUROYER dit BENNY ROCK , Tenor-Sax Belge , a enregistré en 1955 la première version européenne de ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK .
Peu après , il adapte la célèbre comptine SUR LE PONT D' AVIGNON qu'il interprète sur un rythme endiablé avec ses ROCKING BENNIES , sous le titre : AVIGNON ROCK ! , que l'on retrouve en 78 RPM et sur le EP :

Musicien de jazz Belge né en 1921 et décédé à Bruxelles en 1993, Bernard COUROYER dit BENNY ROCK a réalisé plus de 400 compositions en jazz , variété et musique classique. On lui doit aussi près de 2000 arrangements et autant d'enregistrements ( disques musiques de films prestations pour la radio et la télévision dans divers pays d'Europe .
